Navistar LPGA Classic

To be held September 24 - 30, 2007 at Capitol Hill in  Prattville, AL. Many of the top female golfers in the world will be in Prattville at the end of September.  The event will be held on the Senator course at Capitol Hill.  The tournament will be the only full-field LPGA event in the Southeast, according to tournament director Jonathan Romeo.  

The Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts is hosting 3 exhibitions featuring different types of art media:  From the Fire: Contemporary Korean Ceramics sponsored by Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama celebrates 21st centry Korean art on display through Aug. 19th, featuring works of 54 artists; Alabama Folk Pottery organized by the Birmingham Museum of Art showcases examples of 19th and 20th centry traditional Alabama pottery on display through Sept. 9th; Chester Higgins: Family, Friends and Acquaintances sponsored by AT&T features a dozen black and white images the photographer captured in Alabama during the 1960's and 70's through Sept. 2nd.    No Admission fee.  Hours: Tues-Sat 10AM-5PM; Thursday-10AM-9PM; Sunday12PM-5PM.  Call 334-240-4333
