Tavern Fest 2009

Join Landmarks Foundation for its annual Tavern Fest in the heart of Old Alabama Town, at the corner of North Hull and Jefferson Streets. Enjoy great bands, fabulous food and specialty beer tasting. Enjoy reserved seating with a $125 table, that will seat eight and includes a complimentary bottle of wine. General admission tickets are $8 at the gate. Advanced reservations are required for tables. This event is sponsored by The Montgomery Advertiser, Bama Budweiser and the Alabama State Council on the Arts.

Cultural Crossroads: Settlin In, 1820s-1840s

One of our first presentations in the Alabama Tourism and Travel “Year of Alabama History” the symposium will focus on the joys and tribulations of settlin the Alabama frontier. Topics will cover architecture, archaeololgy, travel, slavery, industry, the natural environment, entertainment, and a literary interpretation of the times.
